Vegetable manager/Dairy intern positions *Our farms are a few miles apart. If you're interested in full-time work, you can apply for both positions. Or you can just apply for one! Grace Hill, a family dairy and cheesemaking farm in Cummington, is looking for a paid intern for the 2021 season beginning end of April - 20-25hrs a week, work can include both the cow and the cheese sides, experience or interest in grazing, tractors, milking or cheesemaking would be helpful, and a small seasonal cabin is available. Please email Max. Sawyer Farm is a horse-powered vegetable operation in Worthington, MA. We grow summer vegetables, but mostly focus on storage crops. We began moving to no-till last season, and will be 90% no-till this season. We're taking a ten-year-old cropping system and revamping, so it will be an exciting and challenging season. If working to implement and improve a horse-powered no-till system sounds enticing, read on... We're looking for a vegetable manager for the 2021 season beginning mid-April - 20-25 hours/wk. Our current vegetable manager leaves in mid-July (sadly) - your job would be to work closely with her and to take the reins when she leaves. Seeding through harvest, with a focus on plant health.
