Highway Litter Removal – Crew Supervisor
As a Highway Litter Removal Crew Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team, working hard, and keep crew safe from road hazards and distractions while improving the image of the roadways. You will assign clean up perimeters of different job sites daily which include removing litter and debris. Report quality and pertinent metrics to executive leadership team.
Work days are M-F from 7:00 - 4:00pm; occasional Saturdays. $18.00/hour
JOB DUTIES: Lead a team of up to 6 crew members. • Required to report to work as scheduled, and work the entire assigned schedule. • Ensure team and equipment safety before, during, and after use. • Pick up and remove litter along assigned interstates and other roadways. • Must obey all safety rules and regulations; must wear proper clothing including protective PPE. • Meet and exceed assigned litter collection team goals. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to be self-controlled and exercise good judgement.
PREFERRED SKILLS Ability to work independently, detail oriented, operate a variety of small hand tools, two way radio, cell phone and other items needed for the job. Must be able to walk for extended periods of time over rough, steep, or uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Walk up to 5 miles per day. • High school diploma required. • General labor experience preferred.
