Learn turkey hunting basics and biology in this clinic specifically tailored for youth and first-time turkey hunters.
Back by popular demand, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has partnered with Lynn Worwood of the National Wild Turkey Federation to offer another free Beginner & Youth Turkey Hunting Clinic. This clinic is open to anyone who has never hunted turkeys and to all youth 17 and younger.
This beginner clinic will feature:
Turkey callingArchery hunting techniquesTurkey habitat and biologyShotgun patterningArchery shootingThe event will conclude with a question and answer session to clarify hunting regulations, techniques, etc. described at the stations throughout the day.
COVID-19All participants will be required to have a mask which must be worn at all times except while actively shooting. Social distancing is expected and we will use every other bench to maintain a minimum of six feet of spacing. If you are sick or experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, please stay home. All high touch areas or surfaces will be sanitized prior to the class. Hand sanitizer will be available for participant use.
