Van Conversion Project

Greetings all, My family has a converted Transit that has been working great for us. It's a 3 seater right now, just the right size for my wife, my son, me, and a full-size queen bed. But... my wife is five months pregnant. We need to retrofit the van to make room for the baby, either by bolting down a baby seat between the front seats (if this is possible to do safely) or by redoing the bed to make space for one of the factory seats we had removed. We also have a broader wishlist, eg heavy-duty rollout shelving under the bed, moving our water tanks around.
