About Joel Raney and Joseph Martin Joel Raney — After earning his Masters degree in Piano Performance from The Juilliard School, Joel performed as pianist for numerous shows on Broadway, in L.A. and Chicago, and created over 1000 scores for radio and television commercials. Awards include Joseph Jefferson award for best Musical Direction for Oily City Symphony in Chicago and a CLEO for Best Score of an American Airlines Commercial, in which he also performed Rhapsody in Blue. He has hundreds of choral anthems in print with numerous publishers, as well as piano solo and duet books, Christmas musicals, handbell compositions, and other ensemble music. Today Joel works as an editor at Hope Publishing Company in Chicago, serves as Director of Music Ministries at the First Baptist Church of Oak Park, Illinois, conducts, and performs piano concerts throughout the country. He resides in the Chicago area with his wife, Susie. They have three grown sons who live and work nearby. Joseph Martin — After earning his Masters degree in Piano Performance at the University of Texas, Austin, Joseph taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department of the University of Texas. He has composed and recorded hundreds of commissioned works, with over two thousand compositions currently in print. He is a Dove Award nominee and a John Ness Beck Foundation Award recipient. He is a staff member of both the Shawnee Press, Inc. and the Hal Leonard Corporation as the Director of Sacred Publications. Joseph is Artist in Residence at Concordia University in Austin, Texas where he lives with his wife, Sue. Joel Raney
