A Wedding and Event DJ/Emcee business on the East Side is looking for people with great personalities who have no fear of being the center of attention at a party and good on the mic. If you're shy, this won't work. I will provide training in how I want things done, you just have to be honest about your personality and your work ethic, which has to be stellar. The job includes playing music at weddings or other events, making all the announcements and introductions, emceeing the games and other activities, engaging with the guests or clients plus other responsibilities. It's a very hands-on job with attention to detail. We're looking for mature people who have a great personality, are comfortable speaking in front of a 100-150 people, a good sense of different types of music, a bit tech savvy, have some idea of how a wedding works, and knows how to communicate with people of all ages, races, cultures and so on. High social IQ and intelligence are important. Club DJ's don't work well with this. You are in the spotlight and should be able to carry yourself with confidence while not being arrogant or lazy. No Mohawks, face or neck tattoos or face piercings, think clean cut. You will have to wear a suit as this is a nice event. Actors and other artsy types and musicians seem to work well for this. This work is part-time on Friday Night, Saturday or Sunday. And yes, you do need a reliable car with enough space to carry plenty of equipment. You do need to lift 40 lb when setting up equipment. Plenty else to say about this but will go into that with the right people. I'll be paying way above average for this position, which means I want to get my money's worth and only want to talk with the right people.
