Why cant people have different opinions

Why can people have different political opinions without being attacked? This is America last time I checked. And we are allowed to have a different opinion. It does not matter if you snowflakes out there like the opinion or not. Because here is the thing,you do not have to listen to it,watch it,hear it nothing. Even it's a tv personality,stupid youtuber or any other media format. If there is a show or person on anything like that and you do not agree with or like their opinion the beauty of this country is you dont have to listen. Just have respect for a fellow human and shut up and keep walking or turn the channel whatever you have to do. But in no universe do you have the right to get in to someone's face or scream at them or call them names like a child. Just dont listen. Example cancell culture is 100% bullshit. Its absolutely not needed and does no good. And the people in it are some of the people I mentioned. They yell and scream and make a huge big deal out of things that do not matter and cost people jobs and careers. You do not have that right. I'm pretty sure the reason our founding fathers made the bill of rights and a constitution is so we would use our own heads not be sheep and follow what everyone else is just because it popular. Question things,seek the truth that's why we have those pieces of paper giving us the freedom to do so
