Strings - Folk/Fiddle 10am- 1pm (Grades 9-12) Students are invited to participate with their string instrument from Music class. Participants will be introduced to diverse folk fiddling traditions from Nordic to Irish to Appalachian, exploring the rich history of the various playing styles. The focus is finding the joy of playing simple melodies with the dancing groove which sets fiddle playing apart from the lyrical sound of the classical violin, viola and cello. Health and Safety protocols consistent with local and state health requirements will be in effect during each camp session.
