MILFORD, MA — Voters in Milford will head to the polls on Tuesday for the 2021 town election, which will feature five contested races for town-wide office, including a five-way race for three seats on the Milford School Committee. Due to the pandemic, Milford voters are allowed to cast absentee ballots to avoid going to the polls. But the town will also offer in-person voting sites on Tuesday. If you're not sure if you're registered to vote, you can check your voting status on the Secretary of State's website. Here's everything you need to know about the candidates running in 2021, and how to vote. In-person voting Polls will be open in Milford from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. The town will offer three polling places, depending on your precinct. Precincts 1 and 6: Senior Center, 60 North Bow St.Precincts 2 and 3: Italian Vets Hall, 4 Hayward FieldPrecincts 4, 5, 7, and 8: Portuguese Club, 119 Prospect Heights Don't know where you should vote? Check the Secretary of State's website. Absentee voting The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot passed in March. If you received one already, you can mail it to the Town Clerk. It must be received by March 30, or it won't count. The best option would be to put your mail-in ballot in one of the two drop boxes outside Town Hall. The boxes close at 8 p.m. on Election Day. Who's running There are five contested races in Milford this year: Board of Assessors, Board of Library Trustees, Parks Commission, School Committee and Town Moderator.
