Description

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County is moving the day to make appointments for coronavirus vaccines at county vaccination sites at Saint Leo University of Gulf View Square mall in Port Richey. Beginning this Friday, April 2, and continuing each Friday, vaccination appointments for first doses will open for appointments at 2 p.m. Residents can go online at the CDR Maguire Patient Portal or call 1-844-770-8548 . Previously, appointments were taken on Sundays at 2 p.m. An appointment is mandatory to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Be aware that the demand for the vaccine is greater than the supply, so appointments for vaccinations fill quickly. Beginning Monday, April 5, all Floridians age 18 and up will be eligible to receive vaccines. Those receiving vaccines must present a photo I.D. when checking in. If the online patient portal was used to register for an appointment (instead of calling), those people should bring a printed or digital copy of the confirmation email they received containing a QR code. For more information on DOH-Pasco's vaccination operations, click here. Residents can also obtain vaccines through state-run sites, the federal site at the Tampa Greyhound Race Track and at Walmart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, CVS and Walgreens. No appointment is needed for the federal site. To be put on the waiting list for an appointment at a state site, visit MyVaccine.FL.gov or call 866-201-7092. To get an appointment at a store pharmacy, visit the store's website. To see all the sites where vaccines are available, visit the Florida Vaccine Locator.
