Description

About a year ago, scrolling when I really had no business or need to be scrolling through Craigslist is when I found my two girls I now currently have... I did not need these geckos at all... I already had my 5 year old fat boy. I have no clue why I was even on here in the first place but when I saw their pathetic living conditions and physical conditions I knew I had to get them. I paid $50 for two sick geckos and a tank. I knew what I was getting myself into and honestly I'd have paid more if she asked because I knew they needed me. Severe dehydration and MBD one of which you could see the MBD from the very poorly taken picture that's how bad it was. If you do not have finances to pay for the proper husbandry, food everyday for babies/juveniles and time to potentially peel off stuck shed or cleaning their tank then you should not have a gecko. They aren't little cute fun play toys for your kids. They aren't easy to take care of just cause they are overbred and inexpensive. I had to work to get those geckos back to normal... I didn't think one of them would make it. Still handicapped by the effects of MBD... but she's thriving. If you cannot take care of your gecko please get it to a person who can, and don't charge them. You made the mistake and someone rehabbing shouldn't have to pay for that as they may even have to pay for vet care. Be thankful you didn't partake in killing an animal. Stop buying Leopard Geckos because you think they're easy... they're not.
