Two Classes, Three Days. In-Person Foundational CISM training
The International Crisis Incident Stress Foundation's (ICISF) "Assisting Individuals in Crisis and Group Crisis Intervention" being presented by the Campbell County CISM Team's Gordon Harper, sponsored in part with funding from the North East Wyoming Health Care Coalition.
Assisting Individuals in Crisis is designed to teach participants the fundamentals of, and a specific protocol for, individual crisis intervention. This course is designed for anyone who desires to increase their knowledge of individual (one-on-one) crisis intervention techniques
The Group Crisis Intervention course will prepare participants to understand a wide range of crisis intervention services and will outline the fundamentals of critical incident stress management (CISM). Participants will leave with the knowledge and tools to provide several group crisis interventions, specifically demobilizations, defusings and the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD).
These two classes follow the "Everly/Mitchell Model" and are foundational training in CISM.
Students pay for the manuals and are on their own for rooms/meals. Registration ends April 14th.
