Description

Lift heavy weights while helping our local community! All proceeds will benefit the Creative Church Food Pantry. May River Fitness is proud to host the Outside the Box Throwdown Competition for a Covid-friendly competition featuring 2-person teams for all levels! All proceeds will benefit the Creative Church Food Pantry that provides food services for Jasper County families in need. Prizes for first place at each skill level, vendor swag, t-shirts, food, and fun for athletes and spectators. A Spirit Prize will be given to one team that has the best costume and one team that has the best name, so be creative! ONLY ONE PERSON PER TEAM NEEDS TO SIGN UP. INFORMATION FOR BOTH ATHLETES WILL BE COLLECTED DURING CHECKOUT. REGISTER BY APRIL 23 TO BE GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT. FINAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MAY 5. Teams can be mixed as male/male, female/female, or male/female. To determine the skill level you will be competing in, check the standards below. WOD #1: GOOD CLEAN FUNLevel 1: 35/45LB Partner A completes 30 Hang Power Cleans. Partner B completes 30 Hang Power Cleans. Partner A does 15 No Push Up Burpees with Step Over Bar. Partner B does 15 No Push Up Burpees with Step over bar Level 2: 65/95LB Partner A completes 30 Hang Power Cleans. Partner B completes 30 Hang Power Cleans. Partner A does 30 Burpees with Step Over Bar. Partner B does 30 Burpees with Step Over Bar. Level 3: 95/135LB Partner A completes 30 Hang Power Cleans. Partner B completes 30 Hang Power Cleans. Partner A does 30 Burpees with Bar Jump Over. Partner B does 30 Burpees with Bar Jump Over. WOD #2: DUAL OVERHEAD CAM All Levels will do a 7-minute relay of 50 yards Overhead Plate Carry. 1 point for each round completed by each partner. The plate must remain overhead while moving forward and cannot touch the head. Arms do not need to stay locked out. *Field will be marked in 10-yard increments and extra reps will be given for partial round completed at end of 7 minutes as tie-breaker. Level 1: 10/10lb plate Level 2: 10/25lb plate Level 3: 25/45lb plate WOD #3: LUNGS ON FIRE5 minutes of Max Thrusters. Partners can divide reps as desired. The barbell must touch the ground between the transition of partners. Level 1: 35/45 lb bar (squat to as low as possible for your own personal range of motion) Level 2: 45/65 lb bar (hip crease below the knee in the squat) Level 3: 65/95 lb bar (hip crease below the knee in the squat) WOD #4: A WHIFF OF GRIFFPartner A runs first distance forwards. Partner B runs first distance forwards. Partner A runs 2nd distance backward. Partner B runs 2nd distance backward. Level 1: 400 meters/100 meters Level 2: 800 meters/200 meters Level 3: 1200 meters/400 meters WOD #5 - MYSTERY FLOATER This WOD will be announced on competition day. As a floater workout, it can be done anytime during the competition at the athlete's choice of time but must be completed before the end of WOD #4.
