Looking for someone to cut the grass and do other yard work

I'm writing this ad on behalf of my dad. He's going to be having surgery on his shoulder soon and will be recuperating for the whole summer. My parents are in their 60s and could use some help around the yard while my dad is out of commission. The main task will be mowing the lawn once every week or so, depending on the weather and how quickly the grass grows. We have our own riding mower for you to use. The yard is about 3 acres big with a small pond and a wooded area in the back. It usually takes about 2-3 hours to cut and trim. Other tasks may include picking up fallen branches, clearing brush, pulling weeds, carrying bags of soil to the garden, weed-whacking, that sort of thing. My parents will provide all the tools that you need. You must have your own transportation, be able to lift about 40lbs, and be ok working in the sun and dealing with grass stains and dirt smudges. Useful skills to have include knowing how to drive a riding mower (it's not difficult; it's similar to driving a car or a golf cart), gardening, pond cleanup, light carpentry. You don't need to be a professional landscaper by any means. The best skill is a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. Other things to note are that my parents have a large, excitable dog who will bark and want to jump up and lick you when he meets you. He is often out in the yard with them on a leash. If you're good with dogs and would be able to take him for a walk here and there, that would be a huge plus. Also, my parents will both be fully vaccinated soon, but they ask that you wear a mask when interacting with them or when you're in the house. When you're outside by yourself, there's no need, just if you're inside or in close proximity to them just to be safe. My parents' house is located in Aurora near the Walden Inn. The pay for this work would be between $15-$20 an hour cash. If there is some large project my dad wants done, he can talk with you and figure out a flat rate if you both like. This would be a good gig for a local high school or college student or really anyone with a reasonably flexible schedule looking to make some extra money throughout the summer.
