FREMONT, CA — More than 70 hotel guests were evacuated from the Hyatt Place Hotel in Fremont after receiving reports of a suspicious bag Friday morning, officials said. A 26-year-old, suspect, who was known by police, was arrested near the hotel, the Fremont Police Department said. The Alameda County Sheriff's bomb squad was deployed to survey the scene. The incident unfolded at the hotel at 3101 W. Warren Avenue less than 24 hours after police fatally shot another suspect at the hotel Thursday night. The hotel, southbound I-880/Warren exit and access roads remained closed as of 11:30 a.m., Fremont police tweeted. "We advise community members to stay away from the area until further notice," officers tweeted.
