Description

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The village will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for residents next Monday through Thursday, April 5 to 8, at the Bolingbrook Community Center, 201 Canterbury Lane. Appointments are mandatory and open to Bolingbrook residents who are 65 or or older or qualify under current vaccine eligibility guidelines. Pre-registration is available online or by calling the village's Vaccine Hotline at (630) 226-8806. Ken Teppel, co-administrator for the Village of Bolingbrook, said there are no walk-ins, though the village will put out an alert if extra doses become available. There were extra doses available for walk-ins at Thursday's village-sponsored vaccine event at Bolingbrook Golf Club. Teppel said there is a chance some people who sign up for next week's clinic might not take their appointment if they get vaccinated sooner. Updates about extra vaccine will be posted on the village's Facebook page or sent to those who sign up for Brook Alerts. For next week's vaccination clinic, Teppel said the village learned Thursday it would be receiving around 2,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine from the Will County Health Department. Those who get the first dose are guaranteed a second dose in three weeks. Pre-registration for the clinic remains open on the Vax Up Bolingbrook page on the village website. Bolingbrook residents who pre-register and are deemed eligible for the vaccine will be contacted via email with appointment registration links. Teppel said the clinic will be open for appointments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and it will stay open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday to accommodate those who can't make it during business hours.
