Description
I have always been against the use of drugs, but putting my personal
feeling over someone else's want to use same is not right. The user
is only hurting himself, no on else.
It is time that we end the stigma of criminalizing drugs. No person
should be but in jail for harming themselves.
Now before you jump, think.
Prohibition never stopped people from drinking
and laws against the use of drugs has not stopped it.
We the TAX payer looses, it's out tax money spent for commercials
telling people not to use... (right) then we arrest them, that cost us
money for jails, food, etc: (really) then we're suppose to fund the
treatment. How many times did you read about these "Hollywood" stars
who went into drug treatment, then started up again... $$$$$$$
that's your dollar's and mine.
Now you will say well what about when a user commits a crime to
get the money he needs.. OK, then they have committed a crime, just like
you and me would have, being on drugs should not in any way
effect how the courts handle the offender...
That means he can not use the fact that they are on drugs to mitigate
the crime. (period)..
Maybe it is about time we take the (medical) profession out of our courts
These groups like many others take Taxpayer money... do you think
they are ready to give up the golden goose!!!!!!
