Portland OR
Description
Job Description Friendly and attentive individuals needed to share the love at SOMA Kombucha's farmers market booths on weekends. Farmer's markets are Saturdays and some Sundays, now until October. You may be asked to work at PSU, Vancouver, or Beaverton farmers markets. While we will try to schedule you at a location convenient to you we need all staff to have the ability and flexibility to go where they're needed. Please apply only if you're available the vast majority of Saturdays throughout the rest summer. You will be paid a bonus for working all scheduled shifts. The shift will start at our brewery in St John's between 7 and 8, depending on which market you're working. You will load your personal vehicle with kombucha and market supplies, including a 12"x12"x60" canopy (please apply if your vehicle can fit this, a 4 door sedan or larger will work fine, a small 2-door coupe or hatchback may not). You will drive to the market, set up, sample and sell delicious kombucha, then drive back to the brewery and unload. Shifts will be 7-9 hours, from arrival in St John'sin the morning to the end of your unload after the market. Market itself being 5-6 hours. Breaks are fine before and after the market, and for the bathroom during the market which you will work solo. We have also been busy getting the "booch bike" launched and that will be happening within the next couple of weeks. This is an on-tap kombucha cart on an electric bike to take around the waterfront during the Portland Saturday Market and elsewhere, let us know if you're interesting in running this as well as farmer's markets. Job Requirements: Previous retail experience Love for kombucha, nutrition, and sharing these with all different people Experience meeting/exceeding sales goals High energy, positive attitude, motivated to work all scheduled shifts Attention to detail, excellent communication, organization, and follow-through Ability to work well with others and solo A highly inclusive mindset and ability to relate with all people, at least a little. Reliable vehicle - sedan or larger. Please reply with a resume and cover letter explaining why you think you'll be a great fit!
