We are hiring for part time AIDE and TEACHER positions for a childcare center in Garfield. The hourly rate varies from $11-$15, based upon position and experience. See below for hours. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in children's lives. Must be caring, nurturing, responsible and punctual. Experience preferred. *Aide will assist director and head teacher in day to day operations. Diapering, cleaning, reading, assisting with carrying out lesson plans, assistance with meal times, preparing and assisting children with projects/activities, writing weekly reports, communicating with parents, assisting with other tasks as needed. Must follow all COVID procedures, must wear a mask. *Teacher will create lesson plans based upon curriculum and themes, create projects and activities that are developmentally appropriate for age group. Responsibilities also include interacting with parents, writing weekly reports, diapering, cleaning, reading, preparing lesson plans, activities, and projects based on weekly themes, and fostering a fun, safe environment for staff and children. Must be able to work independently and as a team. Must be able to lead classroom and encourage a comfortable and safe environment for children. Must show leadership abilities. Must be able to multitask, stay organized, and follow all state and COVID guidelines. Mask required. Experience required, college credits, CDA/equivalent required for teacher positions. Hours may vary. Must be flexible. Extra hours are possible in the future, and long term position available for the right person.
