Hello! My name is Frankie, I'm located in the East Bay area and I play upright bass. I'm not a professionally trained player and haven't been playing for a huge part of my life yet, but being about 2 and a half years into self teaching, I want to start branching out and meeting other musicians. My musical passion gears toward the genres of traditional hillbilly music, bluegrass, and western swing. Generally any form of Country music stemming from the late 40's through the mid 60's, give or take a decade on occasion. I'd be really interested in hearing from people into similar genres who might also have some playing experience and would want to get together to jam. Nothing serious, all in fun. If you fit the bill and would like to play music sometime, give me a shout! It's rare to find other people into this music.
