Description
Dominion Properties is looking to add a painter to its full time In-House Crew. Dominion buys, renovates, rents and sells single family homes in the Baltimore Metro area. Job Description Full-time position. Must have attention to detail and great communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities Proper preparation of all areas to be painted; scraping old paint; drywall repair as necessary; remove old caulk and apply new; remove all electrical plates; tape window and other necessary areas; and lay drop cloths Repair drywall and plaster cracks, splits, holes, and water damage Priming and painting interior and exterior walls, ceilings and stairs Priming and painting of vacant units Paint wood and metal handrails, interior and exterior Paint interior and exterior woodwork and metal work Properly complete all assignments Clean up any spilled paints or splatters Pick up and put away all materials, tools, equipment, etc. Keep adequate supplies of equipment and material on hand. Notify supervisor of any shortages Contribute to the team's effort by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed Comply with all Dominion Properties policies and procedures Perform various other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor Skills Required Ability to keep neat and accurate records Ability to communicate in written form -Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with fellow team members and supervisors Knowledge of sizes and types of brushes and the specific use of each Ability to make necessary drywall repairs and replacements; i.e.: cracks, nail pops, etc. Knowledge of stain killing and priming surfaces to be painted; i.e.: water stains, scuff marks, bare drywall, crayon/marker marks, etc. Knowledge of masonry, oil based and latex base paints, stains, varnish, and shellac and the proper application of each Knowledge of the proper use of drop cloths (when and where to use them) Ownership of and knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to perform painting and drywall work Thorough knowledge of current methods, practices, tools, equipment and materials used in the painting and drywall trades Thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the painting/drywall profession General knowledge of maintenance skills Key Performance Indicators Exhibits the following performance expectations: Teamwork Dependability Communication Understands Role, Responsibilities and Job Skills Time Management and Planning Quality of Work Safety Audit reflects the quantity, and quality of work at an acceptable level Work is completed in a professional manner Benefits: Vehicle Reimbursement $400 per mth and Gas Allowance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Retirement plan Paid Time Off Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
