Boat Crew/Mate Needed

Local private yacht is seeking an additional crew member or mate for permanent, full-time position on 80' motor yacht. Crew/Mate will work closely with the Captain and assist with day-to-day maintenance, upkeep, stewarding, and travel. This position requires some holiday and weekend work, and the ability to travel with short notice. Summer season is spent locally, with occasional weekend get-a-ways or holiday trips. Winters will be live-aboard, while the boat is moved to Florida. Requirements: -Must be able to pass Background Checks -Must be able to pass Drug screenings -Must be able to work in odd positions for extended periods -Must be able to work away from home for extended periods -Must be able lift/carry heavy loads, sometimes in odd positions or spaces -Must have own means for personal transportation Desired traits/abilities/experience/et cetera: -Two-three years of similar experience or work in the maritime industry -Ordinary/Able Seaman certification (not required, but preferred) -Detail oriented -Professionalism -Cleaning/detailing experience -Mechanically inclined -Ability to adapt to sudden changes in environment -Healthy living habits -Ability to travel out of state for extended periods at a time -Ability to travel at short notice (notice will be given as early as possible) -Familiarity with USCG safety and emergency procedures -Line handling Interviews will be performed by the Captain, candidates will be recommended to the Owner. Additional training will be given by Captain, and additional questions will be answered during the interview process. Pay will be negotiated during time of the interview, and based on previous experience. Raises will be performance based.
