The Hawk Valley Garden located within the Capital City Bird Sanctuary (across from Hawk Meadow Park) is in need of tilling before a major infrastructure overall is begun for a grand re-opening next year. If you have a large tiller and a couple of hours, we would love for you to help. Or, if you have a tiller, but not the time, the resident-manager of the grounds can come pick-up the tiller and drop it back off. The garden is being prepared to provide food growing space for community gardeners who also support conservation efforts.
The garden is about 125 by 50 feet. A small tractor with till attachment can enter the garden area. The task can be accomplished solo. The resident manager will meet you at the garden (if you are the one tilling). We can provide a tax deduction form for your time and resources.
