Unique job: Urban Bird Services is the largest, most experienced bird and bat abatement firm in the southern U.S. We are looking to train a new bird system installer to use various methods to exclude and abate birds and bats from commercial structures. This includes net-screens, low voltage track, spring-wire, etc. This is a full-time, permanent position with guaranteed hours, benefits, take home vehicle, etc. Need to hire ASAP, no bird experience needed - WILL TRAIN. This job sometimes requires very secure government background checks. Please read carefully and do not apply if you do not meet these requirements: Must have a current valid driver's license, and have no felony arrests. Any misdemeanor arrests must be disclosed prior to interview. We must perform a thorough background check before hiring so please be honest and up front so that we don't waste any time. Must be able to pass a drug test; BUT after-hours recreational 420 is ok. Other Requirements: You will be working safely at heights mostly between 40' and 60' with power tools outdoors, usually on a boom lift but usually under shade. If you don't think you can work comfortably and safely in a boom lift please do not apply. Must have work experience at some type of minor construction such as electrician, plumbing, installation, or carpentry (working with tools and problem solving). We will supply further training and all tools and safety gear. Must be reliable, self motivated, and be prepared to work safely but efficiently with an emphasis on details. You must be and stay in good physical and mental health. Hours are usually between 7 and 5, M-F, but can vary depending on the site and project. Travel is fairly common, but you will usually be home on weekends. During travel, hotel and per diem is paid as well as company vehicle and fuel, etc. We prefer you be experienced in operating an aerial boom lift, and preferably have an aerial lift Certification Card. OSHA 10 or 30 also preferred. BUT these are not mandatory as we will train if need be. A starting bonus of $500 will be paid after your first 2 weeks of work. Pay is $17 - $20. per hour depending on work history and experience. At 90 days you will be reviewed and eligible for a pay increase as well as all full-time benefits including health, dental, vacation, 401k, etc. Job completion bonuses are also given at times.
