Please apply on our website or follow the link below:   We are looking for a Cube Van Drivers to join OBRC's growing team! Our Cube Van Driver position is a great opportunity for those looking to grow in the transportation field and obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). On the job training will help you develop your skills and grow within the organization.   GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION  Operate a cube van truck on a specific route in the Portland Metro Area to service OBRC accounts in handling the pick-up and transporting of deposit/refund beverage containers.   ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS   Adhere to OSHA Safety Standards and OBRC policies Preform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of Cube Van Truck Safety and courteously operate a vehicle and all equipment, including pallet jacks, lift gates, load locks and more Proper preparation of documents, counts, and product preparation, included marking of bags, building pallets and product grouping Proper loading of trucks, insuring all items are counted and loaded and that load is properly secured in the truck Understanding of product information, company operations, co-mingle procedures, and can communicate with retailers and customers Ability conduct yourself in a professional manner, in both attitude and appearance Study and train for CDL test (to be taken within 12 months of hire) Other job duties as assigned    QUALIFICATIONS   Valid class C driver license and good driving record Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day Ability to qualify for and obtain a CDL within 12 months of hire Must not pose a direct safety threat to himself/herself or others PAY & BENEFITS   Full-time    Home daily   Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance plans    401(k) with company match   Paid Time Off    Paid Holidays       Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC) is a member-owned, cooperative corporation in charge of picking up and processing nearly 100% of all containers redeemed in Oregon.
