Bachelor Village is Central Oregon's exclusive resort-style retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through hospitality, services and amenities. We are currently seeking a full-time Driver to join our team to work on Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 5 pm including holidays as needed. As a Driver, you will enrich lives each day by transporting residents to appointments, shopping trips, lunches, and other outings. Your courteous and good-natured personality will add an extra aspect of enjoyment to resident excursions, giving you the daily opportunity to be a positive presence in the lives of residents! Your responsibilities will include: • Keeping vehicle maintenance and mileage records up-to-date • Ensuring the vehicles are clean inside and outside, the gas tank is full, the emergency equipment is on board and in good working order, and that you and all residents use seat belts. Regular maintenance includes engine oil, transmission fluid, wiper fluid, proper tire inflation, tightness of lug nuts, etc. • You are expected to drive defensively and in a non-aggressive manner. Job Requirements include: • Is at least 18 years of age; • Is comfortable driving in any type of inclement weather; • Has a High School diploma or equivalent; • Has the ability to read and write English in order to follow and give oral and written instructions; • Has a valid Oregon driver's license and clean driving record; • Has an outgoing, warm, friendly personality and desires to work in an environment with older adults.
