Position Summary: Performs or assists in sling, rigging hardware, and hoist inspections on location at customer facilities while performing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: – Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties. – Evaluate and comply with customer quality requirements as defined on work orders. – Follow all safety rules and procedures. – Presents self in professional manner, both in appearance and attitude. – Represents the best interests and policies of Hanes Supply while interacting with the customer. – Performs visual inspections of slings and rigging on location at customer facilities within the set parameters of the customer. – Records results and presents in a professional manner to the customer. – Communicates with Sales and Customer for scheduling, pricing, and sling replacement. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: – Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. – Must be knowledgeable and skilled in safety procedures and able to operate safely and efficiently in construction or industrial areas. – Must possess basic math skills, computer skills (Outlook and Excel preferred) and the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. – Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively. – Must have exemplary communication and interpersonal skills. – Must be willing/able to travel. Estimated work load 50% WNY, 20% ENY, 30% outside of NYS. Level of Education and Experience: – High School Diploma or equivalency required; – Minimum of six months’ experience working in a manufacturing, construction, or safety environment is required Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
