East Coast Lumber, a local building materials and hardware dealer in East Hampstead, NH is seeking to fill the position of Order Picker. General Requirements • Minimum of 6 months experience setting up orders for delivery. Could Train a right person. • Dependability is a requirement. • Forklift experience required. • Must be able to write legibly. • Must be able to add. • Must be an organized person. • Promote safety within the order crew (High boots, seat belts, low speed on forklifts, etc.) • Knowledge of product, equipment, order crew and shipping processes required. • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner with other employees and management, in a constructive and noncombative manner. • Has the ability to listen and understand instruction and work independently and with others to complete the task. • Must be a team player willing to assist in any department job or task. • Must be dependable and willing to work overtime, if needed. • Must be able to lift 100lbs upon occasion. Target Responsibilities: • Set up orders in a format best suited for the customer. • Operate a forklift and other equipment in an efficient safe manner. Seat belts worn when operating equipment. • Assist in daily shipping efforts so that you build the strength of the overall shipping function. • Develop backup systems so that the department is self-controlled to the level of never holding up shipments. • Help create and implement order crew policies and procedures. • Assist in efforts to increase order crew efficiencies (improved equipment, improved processes etc
