After some recent tree and brush clearing, a large slab of granite was uncovered that I need removed. This slab is not a natural feature of this spot, it has cut marks and was certainly brought here at some point in history. I need the slab, and any additional bricks or concrete around/under it removed.
THIS IS NOT CONCRETE! I feel that is important to note before you give me a quote. If your solution involves you attempting to sledgehammer this slab of solid granite to pieces, I'm not interested. I am sure there are ways to bust up granite by hand or with some special tools, but it will take hours to get it to small enough pieces to carry out.
The slab is easily accessible from the street so a trailer with a strong winch could likely be navigated close enough to it for anyone who believes they can pull it up onto a trailer. No moving pulling, meaning I don't want it chained to a vehicle and someone step on the gas. A strong, stationary winch attached to a trailer or vehicle that can do the pulling alone. The quickest and easiest removal would be someone coming by with a tractor capable of lifting roughly a ton of rock, picking it up, placing it on a flat bed, gathering the rest of the hard material and leaving.
I am interested in receiving any quotes to do the job, but please tell me how you will do this work and how long you believe it will take you to do it. I will only pay for the work when it I see it all loaded up and ready to go with you. If you want to stop by to view the slab to give a better quote, that is ok, but the quote is free. Power can be available if necessary.
