Job Objective/Summary: The receiver is responsible for receiving and inspecting internal and external shipments for accuracy, documents and prepares for proper processing dependent upon the delivery type and associated company procedures and guidelines. Must know SAP program Health/Safety/Environmental/Housekeeping: - Abides by company rules and policies and procedures. - Understands that performing job tasks in a safe manner is the highest priority. - Reports any unsafe condition or act immediately to Supervision or HSE Manager. - Fills out ‘Near Miss’ paperwork on any unsafe condition or act. - Participates in daily pre shift safety talk. - Understands company safety initiates and acts as facilitator on the floor to promote those initiatives. - May be asked to participate in accident/incident reviews and develop corrective actions. - Responsible for housekeeping and 5S in his or her respective area of work or areas as directed by the departmental supervisor. - Operates processing equipment necessary to handle waste and perform routine maintenance and housekeeping functions on plant structures and equipment. - Handles inbound and outbound hazardous material/waste shipments and process chemicals subject to written supervisory authorization. - Responsible for segregating, storing, and organizing hazardous materials/wastes on site according to Federal, State, & Municipal regulations. - Must be knowledgeable and capable of responding to emergency situations. Job Responsibilities/Requirements: -Receives, unloads and documents final goods, customer owned material and returns and shop supplies -Inspects incoming material to ensure weight and piece/bundle count are accurate per Bill of Lading/Receiving ticket and the material is free from damage. Notates discrepancies and/or damaged material and follows company procedure with handling the material - Notifies responsible department designee, Quality assistance and the originator of any Contaminated Customer Returns - Separates out packages to be sent out to various departments and prepares them accordingly - Works with buyer and a/p to clear ap “hold” items. - Works with finance on reconciling and verifying aged accrued a/p balances.
