We are at the leading edge of technology for the automotive and industrial markets.  Our focus is on creating products that go into the cars we drive every day, including value-added, precision steel components for transmissions, engines and steering systems.  Afternoon shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM)  We are experiencing growth, and need Forklift / Saw & Materials Coordinator’s in our Climate Controlled Plant in Eaton. As a Forklift / Saw & Materials Coordinator, you will: Responsible for the receipt and storage of materials and supplies, material handling and movement, packaging and shipping, and data entry required to record such activities. Operation of forklift is required. Operate saws in accordance with work instructions and all other standard work documentation. Performs routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs of problems/breakdowns with saws. Carry out daily inspection tasks with a high emphasis on safety and quality. Load and unload product and inspect product. Responsible for performing miscellaneous product inspection/sorts (e.g. de-burring product, using dimensional gauges, performing visual inspections, etc.). Support and implement plant continuous improvement projects and problem solving efforts. Develop and understanding of the plant's vision and business plan objectives. Identify a need for and participate in plant teams (e.g. contribute to team expectations; demonstrate team mentality and cooperative spirit). Flexible to work any shift assignment and work overtime as needed. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. One year of Forklift experience Benefits available on first day of employment; no waiting period The ability to pass a background check Able to work a 2nd shift Continuous standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching and manual manipulation of parts. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds Preferred Requirements: High School Diploma or GED with two years of forklift experience. Pay: Hourly Rate Overtime potential 3 weeks’ vacation first year 5% yearly bonus potential $ 5,000.00 first year hire bonus 100% tuition reimbursement  Physical Demands & Frequency Requirements: Continuous standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching, etc. and stooping and lifting while performing material handling activities. Position requires substantial time spent on manufacturing floor. Frequent handling of objects over 10 lb and occasional handling of objects weighing over 50 lb. Manufacturing work environment with moderate exposure to unusual elements such as wet and/or humid conditions.  May include transportation and handling of product waste Hearing at a conversational level. Operates forklift and similar machinery and equipment. Requires climbing into and out of material handling equipment (forklift/crane). Required to wear protective safety glasses, hearing protection where required and safety shoes where required.
