Description
Summary Operate various types of processing equipment to cook and dry fresh seafood byproducts for fertilizer, pet food, aquaculture feed, and other markets. Be able to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and facilities in a consistent manner and fill out necessary paperwork with strict attention to detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to: Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times Dry cooked fish protein and other wet products to under 10% moisture Work directly with the Production Supervisor and Technical Manager in monitoring and maintaining product safety and quality standards Consistently perform routine moisture analyses of dried products Be able to fill out forms and documentation consistently and in a legible hand Clean and sanitize totes, processing equipment, and processing areas on a specified schedule Sanitation of all areas of the production facility and office areas Work flexible hours and overtime as needed (up to 12 hour days, 7 days a week during whiting season) Drive a powered industrial truck and conduct safety checks (training provided) Handle and manipulate raw and cooked seafood with a powered industrial truck, shovel, bucket, hands, and other implements Load and unload trucks and semi-trailers Conduct product quality checks on raw and finished goods Perform other duties, as assigned Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: High School diploma or GED Preferred: Prior forklift certification B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements Forklift certification Total Compensation At Pacific Seafood, your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
