We need a Reliable and Dependable Full Time or Part Time Hotel Front Desk Agent Positions for our Hotel in Beautiful Ruidoso NM to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests. Fast, fun, and friendly are the main characteristics of this position. Checking in guests during peak hours, showing that classic “customer service” smile, and always having fun with this awesome team is what we want from you. Process guest registrations, maintaining the property management system with the most up-to-date information and quickly and accurately entering guest information. Provide quick and efficient check-in and check-out experiences for guests. Greet each and every guest with a smile, however busy and whatever time of day. Responsibilities • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks • Manage online and phone reservations • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay) • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments • Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner recognizing Club Members and also returning guests • Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location • Ensure required identification is taken from guests at check-in in line with local legislative requirements • Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner • Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns • Record guest preferences in the system • Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures • Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up • Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines • Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty • May routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups that are requested either by phone or from within the hotel; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates on changes • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure • excellent quality and service • Perform other duties as assigned • Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag. Personal appearance and grooming must conform to standards. • Be familiar with the AM, PM and overnight daily checklists to ensure smooth daily operations, and cross-train in other department areas as needed. • Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees. • Maintain cleanliness of the front desk, lobby, and back of house area. • Day Shifts Handle the Breakfast closing at 9:30 am (until we get a breakfast host) • Assist with laundry or other tasks as assigned as needed. Type: Full-time or Part Time Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift 7 am to 3 pm • Night Shift 3pm to 11 pm • Maybe some Holidays • 3 to 5 days on Monday to Friday • One or Two days on Weekends • Maybe Fill in on days when short Staff • Maybe Work Overtime • Raises in 90 days after review Experience: • Hotel Experience: 1 year (Preferred, but can train) • Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred, but can train) Hotel experience is preferred but not required. Will train to our specific hotel requirements Work Location: • One location but maybe float to second location when needed.
