Job Title: Kennel Technician Job Type: Hourly / Part Time Shifts: Monday - Tuesday - 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (a minimum of twice a month) Wednesday - Friday - 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday - 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. - (a minimum of twice a month) Sunday - 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and then 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (a minimum of twice a month) The end times can go longer depending on how busy we are with animals. Holidays there are more hours. Can be a possibility of staffing situation and candidate's work ethic and reliability. Job Duties: The Kennel Technician duties include but are not limited to: • Feeding and giving water • Following specific schedules and instructions • Clean the dog suites to include urine, feces, and vomit • Read all of the customer instructions regarding their pets • Administer necessary medications as customer has specified • Oversee doggy daycare up to 15 – 20 dogs at a time • Must be able to read dog’s body language and redirect dogs to prevent altercations • Bathe dogs, trim nails, and clean ears • Continually clean inside the boarding facility and outside the play area • Observe pets for any injuries or illnesses Requirements: • Preferably a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a doggy daycare, boarding facility, or humane society. If no experience will consider training. • Be comfortable with all breeds, sizes and temperaments of dogs. The candidate must be reliable and willing to work. The candidate must be able to come to work. The candidate must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays.
