Description
Do those genre tags stir one iota feeling of ambition and inspiration within you? I am a 28 yr old (he/him) guitarist and singer/songwriter looking to start a band or musical partnership. Would like to collaborate with any type of musician regardless of instrumentation. Other vocalists welcomed. I would happily accept someone looking to build upon duets or add harmonies to pre-existing or new songs as much as I would delight in exchanging sounds and ideas with synth mavens and digital percussionists.
My own voice is somewhere between Bryan Ferry, Roy Orbison, Nick Cave and Scott Walker type crooner, but I want to have a lot more fun.
My guitar ability spans a decade and change I would not consider myself technically marvelous, I can play scales and know most chords. I have a lot of heart. I am an extremely skilled lyrical musical improviser and would consider it above all else my strongest asset.

Currently have an acoustic and electric guitar. A full sized electric piano. Eventually will acquire a bass later this year. My current production value is limited to a blue yeti microphone and a MacBook. My current recordings sound worse than that because I lazily record on just an iPhone. I care less about a song's fidelity and more about a song's emotional core, the artistic intent, the ineffable. Daniel Johnston is a huge inspiration in terms of Artistic goals. I want to make music that can help heal people. I am not religious nor a spiritual person but I am fanatical about music and Pop music in particular. Looking forward to attending many sweaty dance floors once the pandemic is over.
If you're not laughing and crying on the dance floor you're not doing it right.
Peace and love,
DTM
