Utilities One Inc is looking for an experienced OSP Cable Technician with its own bucket truck for the following locations: The Greater Boston region, southern New Hampshire, and western Massachusetts. We are offering an opportunity to put your experience in aerial fiber optic construction and maintenance to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and doing so for one of the fastest-growing construction companies in the USA. Project Description: Installation of aerial cables, construction, repair and maintenance of fiber lines, poles, auxiliary facilities, and equipment for the distribution of electricity. If you have your own bucket truck but you don't have experience in OSP construction, we will train you to do the work. Responsibilities: Operate construction equipment and machinery Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks Install poles and place wires or cables Place aerial coax and fiber cable String and maintain wire (Pulling, Fiber Splicing, Clipping, Stranding & Spacing Line) Troubleshoot, maintain and repair overhead fiber lines Understanding of separation and clearance regulations Utilize standard telecommunications tools Access various installation points Access construction points as required Read and interpret engineering plans Keep a detailed record of work activity Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds Qualifications: Must have his own bucket truck; Telecommunications experience preferred; Must be able to work at heights of 20+’ feet; Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout the work shift; Lineman, Power, or Telecom Trade School a plus;
