New Sky Landscaping and Excavation is looking to hire a construction foreman for the 2021 season. Our company is rapidly growing and we are looking for talented people to join our team and grow with our company. Our season usually lasts from the beginning of April till the end of November. There are also full time opportunities for the right candidates. Our benefits include - Health insurance - Paid time off - End of year bonus program - Opportunities to advanced within the company - Pay increases based on experience and time with the company Responsibilities: -Must have at least 2 years experience in the landscape industry. -Responsible for the installation of landscape and irrigation projects from start to finish. -Candidate must show leadership skills, the ability to direct and efficiently run crews and be able to complete projects within the time allowances allocated for each project. -Candidate must have the ability to read and follow plans. -Candidate shall have the ability to show a working technical knowledge of all aspects of landscape grading, planting, irrigation, drainage, lighting, pavers and retaining wall systems based on industry standards. -Candidate must have good communication skills and maintain a good working relationship with customers, crews, sub-contractors, vendors, other supervisors, office and support staff. -Candidate must be able to teach the operation of equipment and the installation procedures of landscape work. -Candidate must be able to track daily time and materials used for each project and report to field supervisors. -Responsible for coordinating all parties involved in the project including daily communication with owner, general contractor, sub-contractors, field supervisor, project manager and/or designer as needed to set schedules and review work. -Responsible for evaluating the need for and implementing change orders as required by contact on a timely basis. -Responsible for the condition and cleanliness of trucks and equipment that is assigned to crew. Also responsible for the condition and cleanliness of the project site and shop. -Candidate shall be able to lift 50 pounds or more at all times and be able to walk long distances. - Candide will also have current driver’s license in good standing and is insurable by New Sky’s insurance carrier.
