Knight Construction and Supply, Inc is a family-owned general contractor specializing in heavy construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1968. Our specialties include large hydraulic steel structures and associated actuators controlling the water flow and barge traffic on the dams of the Pacific Northwest river systems. We also service hydro-power, plywood and paper, waste to energy, steel and aluminum industries in the Northwest. Knight Construction maintains manufacturing and fabrication facilities are onsite ensuring quality; and millwright maintenance crews that can be mobilized on short notice. We currently have an immediate opening for a qualified GENERAL LABORER with the skills and experience as listed below. This is an immediate opening (within the next 30 days) located in SITKA, ALASKA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed. Maintain clean work environment removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials. Follow all safety procedures, report violations immediately to management. Proper handling and storage of all materials, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use. Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
