Victory "Garden to Go" kits are the perfect way to start your Spring garden while helping support yourself and those in need. No Touch, Pre-Order for preferred Time Slot for drive up pickup at the Healing Warriors Tent in the Gardens at Spring Creek parking lot (limited qty per slot). Each $30 donation secures a Garden to Go kit for you , grab 1 for mom too, and we'll donate 1 to a Veteran in need. SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE HERE COVID-19 increased: Food Insecurity | Empty grocery shelves | Social fears | Isolation | Mental health conditions | Financial deficits Home and Community Victory Gardens produced 40% of the food during WWII when food rations were imposed due to the food supplies that were being sent to the troops. With home gardening, statistics have shown that simple vegetable gardening can address all of the factors listed above. 1 Tomato plant can produce 8-15 pounds of food. Each sqft of garden can yield over 1 lb of ground vegetables. A 10x10 garden can supplement up to $700 in grocery spending. Funds raised will go to support the Healing Warriors Program suicide prevention mission, providing non narcotic treatment programs for Veterans and their families suffering from PTSD, TBI, Trauma, Sleep Disorders and Pain for no or low cost.
