Preschool literacy program for children 4 1/2 - 5 years. Children should be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2021. PLEASE NOTE: This program is currently open only to students who participated in the Winter 2021. We all want our children to grow into literate, thinking adults, but reading the Bible doesn’t happen in a day. It takes time and practice to develop the literacy skills necessary to become a proficient reader. This program will focus on helping children build a strong foundation of phonological awareness skills to support their growing phonemic awareness and early literacy skills using fun and engaging activities. Children will need an easy-to-open binder for filing their work. This is an important step in the process of learning alphabet skills. This program is best suited for children beginning kindergarten in Fall 2021. FORMAT: Streaming only MEETS: Wednesdays, 10:00 am
