After hitting the road and recording with the likes of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Stu Hamm’s resume is the stuff of dreams. Right from the start, he has made a name for himself as someone who can keep up with the best and keep going.
Stu Hamm made his musical debut touring with Joe Satriani and quickly became established as a serious player in the music industry. Stu also played on Steve Vai’s solo albums — Flexible and Passion and Warfare.
Uniquely unconventional, Stu is equipped with a profound mastery of several different genres including rock, fusion, country, and classical. His technique incorporates advanced playing styles such as slapping, two-handed tapping, with a knack for making his bass guitar sound like anything but a bass.
Stu is the only person in the world to have won Guitar Player Magazine’s readers poll for Best Rock Bassist and Best Jazz Bassist in the same year. And he’s done it twice!
