Happy Hound Play & Daycare is looking for smart, talented individuals to join our training team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hard working, self-motivated and of course loves dogs! Our dog trainers work one-on-one with dogs in a one on one and board and train setting, with extensive contact and follow-up support with their owners. If you're a good fit with us, we'll teach you all the fundamentals of dog training, if you don't know them already. You'll be working with clients, including appointments, emails, phone calls, and home visits. What you'll be learning is top-notch training. This position averages 40 hours per week and requires weekends and a flexible work schedule. A minimum 1-year commitment is required. Minimum requirements: -Ability to work well on your own with little or no direct supervision -Ability to work well as part of a team -Dependable, punctual and very responsible -Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments -Valid drivers' license and clean driving history -Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends -Bonus: Experience working as a dog handler, dog walker, dog groomer, veterinary assistant, or other hands-on dog job. -Bonus: Experience working with a variety of training methodologies -Bonus: Previous dog training experience.
