OMW Corporation is a well-respected contract manufacturing company specializing in precision machining of custom metal and plastic parts for some of the world’s largest electronics, technology, and aerospace companies. We’ve been in business for over 20 years, own our own building, and have grown steadily since our founding (four times on the INC. 500/5000). We are looking for another team member to join us full time. The Shipping Clerk’s responsibility is to support the shipping and receiving of critical parts from and to OMW. Duties include packaging and shipping parts (including palletizing and strapping), preparing shipping labels, and entering and retrieving data from the company ERP system (will train). The position reports to the Logistics Manager. The job requires fluency with written and verbal English language. Candidates must be able to lift 30 lbs. comfortably. Candidates must also possess basic computer competency, and must be able to use word processors, spreadsheets and interface with the company’s ERP software system. Candidates will also be expected to use the UPS and FedX shipping systems. Ability to accurately type on a keyboard is critical. Basic forklift skills are highly desirable. Duties include: Packaging parts to prevent damage in shipping. Palletizing loads and strapping parts. Using UPS and FedX shipping systems. Preparing shipping labels. Checking part inventories and counting parts. Receiving of incoming parts and completing documentation. Entering and retrieving data from company ERP system. Working to improve existing processes and procedures.
