SUMMARY: Performing an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming materials from vendors, picking up materials and delivering to job sites or back to the warehouse from various locations, packing and fulfilling work orders for installers to pick up. Loading and unloading materials with installers and assisting with physical inventory counts. The warehouse staff will be responsible for managing, organizing, cleaning and stocking the warehouse. POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. Accurately records physical inventory counts at a minimum of once per month. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area (yard) for orderliness at all times. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards. Wear the proper safety equipment Requirements COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficiency in counting materials. Ability to lift materials up to 50LBs. Current forklift license. Good organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods. Ability to distribute correct paperwork and collect signed documents for inventory control. Clean driving record. DIRECT REPORTS: N/A REPORTS TO: Area Manager EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High school diploma. 2 year degree in business or construction-related field preferred. Prior experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret general mechanical and technical procedures or government regulations in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver’s License Current Forklift License PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, type and use mouse; reach with hands and arms; and talk and/or hear. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time, but may also have extended periods where he or she is required to walk, in the warehouse, lift, carry and stack items of up to 100 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse and truck environment. WORK SCHEDULE Monday-Friday – 5:30am to 2:00pm (Overtime) maybe required TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position will not require any travel.
