Mission of the Role: You are part of a small team of plant installation technicians who installs plants and makes deliveries to our clients throughout the Bay Area. Visiting multiple companies throughout the week you will install new plants, replace failing plants and deliver colorful flower and plant arrangements to offices throughout the Bay Area. Deliver and install color arrangements (orchids, succulents etc) to accounts. . Navigate through Bay area traffic efficiently, park in loading docks and busy city streets. · Provide a superb customer experience by being knowledgeable, trust-worthy, efficient and building strong relationships with every client. · Keep accurate paperwork and notes for all accounts. . Cover a maintenance route by servicing accounts, watering and pruning plants when horticultural techs are out sick or on vacation. . Holiday season work setting up installations and holiday decorations including long hours and weekend work from Thanksgiving until the New Year. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: · Strong Work Ethic…you will be on your feet all day and will be required to carry an assortment of plants, containers and other materials in and out of offices. · An innate understanding of authentic customer service and professional demeanor…you are on the front lines of our business often interacting and working in a busy office environment. . A passion for plants and ability to learn how to become an expert at maintaining them. . Ability to work independently and efficiently, deal with ambiguity and make confident smart decisions at all times · Tech Savvy and comfortable using mobile technology · Ability to communicate effectively and positively with co-workers and clients using mobile technology Requirements: · Valid CA Drivers License with Clean Driving Record . Ability and/or experience driving cargo vans, cargo vehicles and large box trucks · Physical requirements include lifting, bending and carrying plants . Climbing ladders, using scissors and pruners and other tools . Ability to start and end the day at our Richmond, CA East Bay office. Often starting as early as 6AM.
