Seeking for senior

I am a senior lady and planning my retirement, not sure when but will work until something extraordinary happens. In reading about social security income all seems so boring and wish that they will put some color on the booklets to make it more appealing. I think that it will be more interesting if I could talk to the senior connoisseurs. Can any of you share an experience when your SS was reduced for whatever reason?
