We’re a local, organic family farm that needs help at the farmers' market. We’re well-established and have a wide product line using our local produce, grains, and other organic ingredients. In addition to selling produce, we sell delicious, organic vegan foods at farmers' markets in Portland and Vancouver. We’re looking for a positive, energetic person to run our stand and to be the face of our company to our loyal customers at the markets we’ve served for over twenty years. The ideal candidate will find strong resonance - and a desire to be associated with - organic foods, local foods, healthy foods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Organized. Cheerful. Respectful. Dependable. Have experience with customer service. Will drive the fully-loaded market vehicle (parked close to the market) to our assigned stall, unload, set-up the stand, run the market, pack up, and park close by. We especially appreciate it if you have some knowledge of cooking and are able to give customers ideas of how to use our products. An interest in nutrition, pro-biotics, organic, and herbal remedies. Should enjoy and be able to handle an often fast-paced environment. Interest in being part of the social movement that is local, organic agriculture. Proficiencies: Dependability (being on time!) Artistic aesthetic in display of vegetables Patience in dealing with public Making change Pay will be based on experience, and incentive pay is a possibility. Current market opening(s) are for: - Saturday (9-3PM) at Vancouver Farmers' Market We will provide paid training for this position because we want this to be a fun and successful experience for you and for us. Please be able to provide a clean driving record.
