Stolen White Kia Optima 2019

I just purchased a brand new, white 2019 Kia Optima in January and was using it to make deliveries around Seattle with Uber Eats. I was on one of my last deliveries for the night and stopped at an apartment complex on Mercer. St near the Space Needle. I kept my car running on this stop as I did sometimes since I have been working 12-14 hour shifts with Uber and it is easier to just get in the car and go instead of turning it on/off every 10-20 minutes and dealing with setting up Bluetooth and navigation if it did not automatically connect. I should not have done this in the first place and now I know I will definitely never keep my car running like that again if I am in a situation like this. There was this young 5’ 4” oriental man, Id say about 26 years old, sitting at the top of the staircase where I needed to drop my food off at. He looked very out of the ordinary and uneasy and like he was looking for a problem. I asked him a few questions about what he was doing there and if he lived there and about the building I was delivering to as it was late and could not see the address anywhere. He didn’t answer any of my questions and was very standoffish, so I made sure to keep an eye on him to make sure he wasn’t going to try to attack me or anything. Anyway I got on the phone with the customer and as I was on the phone he had snuck around me down the stairs and hopped into my car and took off. I ran down as fast as I could and tried to rip him out of the seat, but he was adamant on taking my car as he was latched onto the wheel like a vise grip and floored it on the accelerator and took off. I didn’t want to jump into the car because if he had a gun/knife I would have probably gotten stabbed or shot as he looked like he was out of his mind on drugs. Or he could of driven over a ledge and killed us both. I let him go and called the cops and they are now looking for my vehicle too. If anyone sees it I would really appreciate it if you gave me a call or a text at my number , my name is Jake Murphy and I really need my car back for working as I need to pay my bills especially during this rough time of coronavirus and also for getting around town to run errands and for leisure as well. If anyone has seen my car please get ahold of me ASAP, so I can come and pick it up. WILL GIVE A $75 REWARD TO ANYONE WHO LOCATES MY CAR AND LETS ME KNOW Location: This happened at 1am on Mercer St near the Space Needle, not sure of the exact address as I tried to chase the car thief to see if he had abandoned the car a little ways down from where to took off from Vehicle Description This car is a white, four door, Kia Optima with standard wheels and a temporary registration in the back left window. There are “Doug’s Credit Center” inserts where the plates go on the car as I have not put the actual plates on it yet and that is also where I purchased the car. The car was in perfect condition when it got stolen, but could be damaged now that this dude has driven it around to wherever. The registration and Doug’s inserts may not be there anymore as he could have removed them to conceal the car better, but everything else should be the same. Description of the Car Thief: This guy was about 5’ 4” and oriental. He had long, black hair that at the time covered the sides of his face, but he might not wear it like that all the time. He had a very unique look to him and a square/chiseled jaw and face line. He was wearing dirty clothes when he stole my car and he looked like he was homeless most likely, not sure what he would be wearing now though. He was very skinny and only weighed around 120Lbs probably. The color of his skin was lightish tan and he did not look like he had anywhere to go to, so not sure where he took off with my car. THE PICTURE I INCLUDED IN THIS IS NOT THE GUY, IT IS ONLY A RESEMBLANCE OF HIS HAIR, BODY FEATURES, AND HOW HE KIND OF LOOKED, except definitely not as tall. He also had more spread out facial structure and his nose was smaller and his face was a lot more square/box shaped. I have included pictures in this post of what my car looks (this is not my car, but it is the same exact car as in these pictures) and what the thief kind of looked like (his, hair, body features, general look), but as I said earlier this picture is NOT OF THE CAR THIEF.
