Description
NATICK, MA — The Natick Center Cultural District (NCCD) has created a new artist-in-residence program that would allow artists to work from home and create virtual exhibits for local residents.
The Emerging Artist-in-Residence program would last eight months. The winning artist would create art work for the community, but also write blog posts and attend NCCD events.
"The artist-in-residence will focus on bringing the four interrelated principles of social justice: equity, access, participation and rights to our community through their work," according to NCCD.
The deadline to apply for the residency is April 8, and the artist will be selected with a goal of starting work by April 11. The position comes with a $4,000 stipend.
