SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are five events that you don't want to miss in Sarasota County. What: Lido Beach Spring Craft Show When: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: Lido Beach, 400 Ben Franklin Drive, Sarasota Artisans and crafters from across Florida and throughout the country will sell their creations in a variety of mediums: sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, glass, ceramics, mixed media, metalwork, fiber art, woodworking and more. What: "Bad Auditions by Bad Actors" play When: Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m. Where: The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime This outdoor show is performed by the Players Teens, a theater program of the Players Centre for Performing Arts. In this comedy, a casting director has one day to find the leads for a community theater production of "Romeo and Juliet," but what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of talent includes extreme method actors, performers who don't know what to do with their hands and one woman who may or may not think she's a cat. What: Cars and Coffee on Cattlemen When: Saturday, 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Where: Elite Motor Works, 1749 Cattlemen Road, Sarasota All cars, trucks and other vehicles are welcome at this informal motorhead hangout at Elite Motor Works. Enjoy coffee and doughnuts while chatting with other car enthusiasts at this free kid-friendly gathering. Register here. What: Easter Eggstravaganza When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Where: Historic Downtown Venice, 200 West Venice Ave., Venice In this family-friendly Easter egg hunt, eggs will be hidden in stores throughout Venice's historic district. Also, meet the Easter Bunny in the Centennial Park Gazebo. Pre-register for the free event here. What: Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show When: Saturday and Sunday, $10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: Phillippi Estates Park, 5500 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota More than 65 professional fine art and fine craft artists of all disciplines will have their original, handmade work for sale. All entries have been juried by art professionals. Enjoy food and music at the show.
